RURAL WOMEN EMPOWERED WITH FASHION DESIGNING SKILLS FOR MORE INCOME BY KVK SAMRALA |
Vocational training Program on "Enrichment of garments by latest fashion Maker Machine through stitching and embroidery" was organized at village Powat by KVK, Samrala from 26th April to3rdMay 2018. 22 participants from village Powat participated in the program. Training was imparted on various embroidery techniques, bag making, purses and on latest fashion designing techniques to upskill rural women and to enhance family income through entrepreneurship. Dr S. C Sharma, Associate Director, motivated to start their own enterprise and join FPO's for marketing products and higher profits. . Dr. Shivani Rana demonstrated various techniques of stitching and embroideries and asked urged them to start small ventures so that they can get work even while being at home besides caring families as well as earn money as skilled handwork is much in demand nowadays. Mrs. Manpreet Kaur Assistant Fashion Designer ITI women, Samrala provide technical guidance on the use of latest fashion maker machines and draftings. Mrs. Charanjit Kaur, Ex trainee and President of Shri Guru Arjun Dev ji Self Help Group demonstrated the different types of bags. The participants expressed extreme satisfaction on completion of the course. |
