KVK organized Training on 'Preservation Of Winter Fruits And Vegetables' from 13.11.17 To 21.11.17

KVK Samrala organized vocational training on "Preservation of winter fruits and vegetables" from 13.11.17 to 21.11.17 at KVK Samrala. During this training women were trained and demonstrated about the benefits of Flax seeds, their products especially Alsi pinnies, coconut ladoos, nutritious ladoos and Amla products etc. Dr. S. C Sharma, Associate Director, KVK, Samrala motivated farm women to develop strong linkage with KVK experts for skill development and getting awareness about improved Agriculture techniques. He appealed the farm women to adopt kitchen gardening, cleaning surroundings and reading literature. Dr. Shivani Rana, Asstt. Professor, Home Science practically trained the 30 farm women during this training. She encouraged the trainees to form self-help groups to start their ventures. During this training Exposure visit was also arranged in Food Industry Business Incubation Centre in Deptt. Of Food Science and Technology. Women were ready to establish their own business by forming Self Help Groups. Farm women were trained regarding preparing products from low cost foods like Swanjana pickle, haldi pickle, amla produts.During this training Mr. Bhatia from NABARD encouraged and guide farm women about formation of SHG's and FPO's. He ensure women to help them financial further. Mr. Mohinder Singh Grewal, Member of Price and Cost commission, Government of India and member of PAU, Kisan Club interact with the trainees give tips to become successful entrepreneur.
