In- Service training for Supervisors And Anganwari workers organized at KVK Samrala on 20-11-2018

Under the guidance of Dr. S.C. Sharma, Associate Director (Trg) Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Samrala organized In- service training for supervisors and anganwari workers on Balanced diet and preparation of low cost recipes. About 50 supervisors and anganwari workers from block Samrala and Khanna attended the training. Dr. Shivani Rana, Assistant Professor (Home Science), welcomed all the participants and explained about the importance of balanced diet to maintain good health and also apprised the audience about importance of sprouts & green leafy vegetables to prepare low cost recipes. Dr. Amarjeet Kaur demonstrated the preparation of low cost nutritious recipes from sprouts and inclusion of green leafy vegetables in daily diet. Literature related to low cost recipes and crop residue management was distributed to the participants. Mrs. Avneet Kaur (Assistant Professor, Horticulture) briefed the participants about importance of kitchen gardening and encouraged them to adopt kitchen gardening. The participants took keen interest in the method demonstrations.
